Plavnik

Plavnik is an unpopulated islet, belonging to Croatia located between the Central Straits and the Kvarner Bay. The Krusija Channel cuts it off from the eastern coast of the island of Cres. This channel is the shortest route from the Adriatic Sea through the islands to Rijeka. A lighthouse established in 1890, sits at the northwestern point of the islet, marking the east side of the narrowest opening of the Krusija Channel.

Krk Cathedral

The Krk Cathedral or fully Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a cathedral in the town of Krk on the northern Adriatic island of Krk, Croatia. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Krk. The church was built in the 5th or 6th century but archeological evidence suggests that the site was used by Christians as early as 4th century. The cathedral is located beneath the Krk town hill. The first documented mention of the church dates from 1186.

Kvarner Gulf

The Kvarner Gulf (Croatian: Kvarnerski zaljev, Italian: Golfo del Quarnaro or Carnaro, Latin: Sinus Flanaticus or Liburnicus sinus), sometimes also Kvarner Bay, is a bay in the northern Adriatic Sea, located between the Istrian peninsula and the northern Croatian Littoral mainland. The bay is a part of Croatia's internal waters. The largest islands within the Kvarner are Cres, Krk, Pag, Rab and Lošinj.

Punat

Punat is a municipality in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in western Croatia on the island of Krk. There are 1,876 inhabitants, with 91% Croats. The town first appears in writings from AD 1377, but the exact date of foundation is not known. In the bay there is the little island of Košljun.
