Ložišća
Ložišća is a small settlement on the west parts of the Croatian island of Brač, population 139 (2011). It is built on a steep hillside, and has a view of the ocean. The center of the town is an old church dedicated to Saint Blaise, the patron saint of Dalmatia. One of the unique features of the church is a large, intricately carved, white marble cross in the courtyard.

Mrduja
Mrduja is an uninhabited island, only a hundredth of a square kilometer, in Splitska vrata (Split Channel) between Brač and Šolta, about 400 m from Rt Zaglav near Milna on Brač in Croatia. The island is nearer to Brač than to Šolta: A legend goes that the inhabitants of Brač and those of Šolta wrangled over whom the island belonged to so they used a rope in an attempt to pull it from one side of the Split Channel to the other. The people of Brač won the tug of war.

Mirca
Mirca (population 327) is a town one the north side of the island of Brač in Croatia. Administratively it is part of the city of Supetar. People on Brač, and in Mirca, used to be into commercial fishing and typical Mediterranean agriculture (vineyards & wine; almonds; olive oil and such). In the last few decades the tourism industry took over, and a lot of people built houses with apartments and rooms to rent to the summer tourists.
