Grohote

Grohote is a village in Croatia on the island of Šolta. It is connected by the D111 highway. Grohote is the oldest and largest village of the island. It is the economic center of Šolta. It is the seat of the administration and school location. There is a farmers market, two supermarkets, a pharmacy, post office, a permanently staffed fire station and an island hospital doctor and helicopter landing pad.

Rogač

Rogač is a port village in Croatia on the northern coast of Šolta island in the Split-Dalmatia County. It is connected by the D112 highway and by ferry. In the small port with the Port Authority of the island, there is a filling station for cars and boats. Also land in Rogač car ferries. The place belongs to Grohote and has 110 inhabitants.

Split Channel

The Split Channel, named after the nearby city of Split, is a narrow passage between the islands of Brač and Šolta in Croatia's Dalmatia region. Situated on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, it is the quickest seaway to the regional capital, Split. In the channel lies Mrduja, an islet notable for being the turning point of the local Mrduja Regata, a yearly sailboat competition. On the Brač side lies deep Milna bay and the village of Milna.

Šolta

Šolta is an island in Croatia. It is situated in the Adriatic Sea in the central Dalmatian archipelago, west of the island of Brač, south of Split and east of the Drvenik islands (separated by the Šolta Channel). Its area is 58.98 km and it has a population of 1,675 (as of 2011). The highest peak of Šolta is the summit Vela Straža which is 238 metres high. On the north-eastern coast of the island there are the large bays of Rogač and Nečujam.

Milna

Milna is a village and municipality on the western side of the island of Brač, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. The village has a population of 833. It is situated in a deep bay oriented towards the island of Mrduja and Split Channel, on the west. The village was settled in the 16th century, by sheppards from Nerežišća. Milna is known for the Chakavian dialect being spoken here, the only part of the island where this is the case.
