Located in the Semien Shewa Zone of the Amhara Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:10|44|N|39|50|E||| | |name= }}. Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Karakore has an estimated total population of 10,859 of whom 5,553 were males and 5,306 were females. The 1994 census reported this town had a total population of 6,247 of whom 2,922 were males and 3,325 were females.

Kemise

Kemise (also known as Kascim) is a town and separate woreda in northeastern Ethiopia. The administrative center of the Oromia Zone of the Amhara Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:10|43|N|39|52|E||| |primary |name= }} with an elevation of 1424 meters above sea level. It was part of former Chefe Golana Dewerahmedo woreda and is surrounded by Dawa Chefe woreda.

Antsokiyana Gemza

Antsokiyana Gemza ("Antsokiya and Gemza") is one of the woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. This woreda is partly named for one of the districts of the province or kingdom of Shewa, Antsokia. Part of the Semien Shewa Zone, Antsokiyana Gemza is bordered on the south by Efratana Gidim, on the southwest by Menz Gera Midir, on the west by Geshe, and on the north and east by the Oromia Zone. The administrative center of this woreda is Mekoy; other towns in Antsokiyana Gemza include Majete.

Oromia Zone

Oromia is one of zones in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Oromia is named for the Oromo people, who settled along the edge of the Ethiopian highlands that form this Zone. Oromia is bordered on the southwest by Semien Shewa, on the northwest by Debub (South) Wollo and Argobba special woreda, and on the east by the Afar Region. Kemise is the administrative center of the Zone; other towns include Bati.
