Sire (also transliterated "Sirie") is a town in southwestern Ethiopia. Located in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:08|17|N|39|27|E||| |primary |name= }} with an altitude of 1793 meters above sea level. It is administrative center of Sire woreda. En route to his assignment to delineate the border between Kenya and Ethiopia, C.W. Gwynn passed through Sire in late October 1908.

Dodota
Dodota is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Arsi Zone it's located in the Great Rift Valley. It's part of former Dodotana Sire woreda what was divided for Dodota and Sire woredas. Dodotana Sire is bordered on the south by Tena, on the southwest by Hitosa, on the north by the Misraq Shewa Zone, on the east by Jeju, and on the southeast by Sude. The administrative center for the woreda is Dera; other towns include Awash Melkasa.

Sodere is a spa town in central Ethiopia. Located approximately 25 kilometres south of Adama (or Nazret) and 120 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa in the Misraq Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:8|24|N|39|23|E||| | |name= }} with an elevation of 1466 metres above sea level. It is one of five settlements in Adama woreda. Sodere lies alongside the Awash River and features lush, shady vegetation.

Dera, Ethiopia
Dera is a town in southeastern Ethiopia. Located in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:08|20|N|39|19|E||| | |name= }}. It is the administrative center of Dodotana Sire woreda. By the late 1960s, Dera was provided with electricity from a dam on the Awash River. In October 1969, Emperor Haile Selassie inaugurated a water supply system for the town built at a cost of Birr 170,000.
