Ejersa Goro is a town in eastern Ethiopia. Jarso (Hararge)

For the woreda in the Mirab Welega Zone, see Jarso (Welega). Jarso is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Misraq (East) Hararghe Zone, Jarso is bordered on the south by the Harari Region, on the west by Kombolcha, on the north by the city of Dire Dawa, on the east by the Somali Region, and on the southeast by Gursum. The administrative center of this woreda is Ejersa Goro.

Harar

Harar (var. Gey, Hārer, Harer), commonly known as Gey and titled "the city of saints" ("madinat al-awilya"), is an eastern city of Ethiopia, formerly the capital of Harergey and now the capital of the modern Harari ethno-political division (or kilil) of Ethiopia. The city is located on a hilltop, in the eastern extension of the Ethiopian highlands about five hundred kilometers from Addis Ababa with an elevation of 1,885 meters.

Harrar Bira Stadium

Haramaya University

Haramaya University (formerly known as Alemaya University) is one of the oldest universities in Ethiopia. It is located 5 km from city Alemaya, a town in the Misraq Hararghe Zone, about 17 kilometers from the city of Harar and 40 kilometers from Dire Dawa. The university was founded with the help of Oklahoma State University (OSU), accepting its first students in 1954, and the new campus was opened in January 1958 by Emperor Haile Selassie.
