Risin og Kellingin

Risin og Kellingin (Risin and Kellingin) are two sea stacks just off the northern coast of the island of Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands close to the town of Eiði. The name Risin og Kellingin means The Giant and the Witch (or Hag) and relates to an old legend about their origins. The Giant (Risin) is the 71m stack further from the coast, and the witch (Kellingin) is the 68m pointed stack nearer land, standing with her legs apart.

LORAN-C transmitter Ejde is the Master station of the Ejde LORAN-C Chain (GRI 9007). It uses a transmission power of 400 kW. Ejde LORAN-C transmitter, situated near Eiði at . Ejde LORAN-C transmitter uses as antenna a 190.5 metre (625 ft) tall mast radiator. In 1962 the mast of LORAN-C transmitter Ejde collapsed as a result of a slipping guy.

Saksun is a village near the north-west coast of the Faroese island of Streymoy.
