Vatnsoyrar
Vatnsoyrar is a village founded in 1921 in the middle of the Faroese island of Vagar. Population: 56 Postal code (Zip): FO 385 Location: {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:62|4|27|N|7|14|53|W| | |name= }} Municipality: Miðvágs Vatnsoyrar, being created in 1921, is one of the youngest settlements in the Faroes. It is the only village in the archipelago that is not on the coast, but instead it is next to Sørvagsvatn, the largest lake on the Faroe Islands.

Sørvágsvatn
Leitisvatn is the biggest lake of the Faroe Islands. It is situated on the island of Vágar between the municipalities of Sørvágs Kommuna and Miðvágs kommuna. The name Sørvágsvatn means 'The lake of Sørvágur'. In size it is 3.4 km, more than three times the size of the second biggest lake Fjallavatn, which also lies on the island of Vágar.

Vágar Airport
Vágar Airport is the only airport in the Faroe Islands, a self-governing territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, and is located 1 NM east of Sørvágur. Due to the Faroe Islands' rather anomalous status, the airport is not fully subject to the rules of the European Union. It is the main operating base for Faroese national airline Atlantic Airways and, for a short period during 2006, was also the base for the low cost airline FaroeJet.

Vørðufelli
Vørðufelli is a mountain overlooking the village Sørvágur on the Faroe Islands. Its height is 284 metres above sea level. The latter part of the name - felli - is Faroese for a small mountain. 'Vørða' is a phrase used by faroese regarding birdwatching. A 'Vørða' consists of five Puffins and since Vørðufelli is the fifth mountain on the northside of Sørvágsfirði that explains how the mountain got its name.

Vága (municipality)
Vága kommuna is a municipality in the Faroese Islands. It covers the eastern part of the island of Vágar (while Sørvágs kommuna covers the western part of the island). It has been created on 1 January 2009 by fusing the two municipalities of Miðvágur and Sandavágur (including the town of Sandavágur).
