Neu-Ulm (district)

Neu-Ulm is a district in Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by (from the east and clockwise) the districts of Günzburg and Unterallgäu and the state of Baden-Württemberg. The district was established in 1972 by merging the former districts of Neu-Ulm and Illertissen with the previously district-free city of Neu-Ulm. The district includes the eastern metropolitan area of the city of Ulm. The Danube and its tributary, the Iller, form the western border of the district.

Biber (Danube)

The Biber is a right tributary of the Danube in Bavaria, Germany. The source of the Biber is in the south of the hamlet Matzenhofen in Unterroth. The river is 36.8 km long. First the Biber crosses the forest of Oberroth. Then the river flows west along the monastery of Roggenburg. Afterwards the river flows through several hamlets and the forest Auwald, into the Danube.

Kleinkötz

Kleinkötz is a village near Günzburg in Bavaria in Germany, the site of a post World War II American sector displaced person camp. It is the birthplace of Johann Eberlin von Günzburg.

German Peasants' War

The German Peasants' War or Great Peasants' Revolt was a widespread popular revolt in the German-speaking areas of Central Europe, 1524–1525. It failed because of the intense opposition of the aristocracy, who slaughtered up to 100,000 of the 300,000 poorly armed and poorly led peasants and farmers. The survivors were fined and achieved few if any of their goals.
