Gymnasium Gars

The Gymnasium Gars is a Gymnasium (high school) in Gars, Bavaria. Situated on the river Inn in the Gars valley, it was founded as a school of Latin by Augustinians before 1582 AD. It became a state school in 1972. It grew quickly and had about 1000 students and 70 teachers in 2006. Today, a part of the school is still found inside the local Redemptorist monastery, but there were extensions in the 1980s and 1990s.

Weingut I

In 1944 the Third Reich began work on the construction of a partially underground bunker factory codenamed Weingut I in the forest known as the Mühldorfer Hart, slightly to the west of Mühldorf am Inn in Upper Bavaria. Plans for the bunker called for a massive reinforced concrete barrel vault composed of 12 arch sections under which Messerschmitt Me 262 jet engines would be manufactured in a 9-story factory.

Fraunberg

Their name derives from the village of Fraunberg in the district of Erding. They are documented since 945, when Heinrich von Fraunberger was mentioned in connection with Costnitz am Bodensee. Their main arms are Gules, a pale argent.
