Naab

The Naab is a river in Bavaria, Germany, and is a left tributary of the Danube. It is approx. 165 km long, including its main source river Waldnaab. The Naab is formed by the confluence of the Waldnaab and the Haidenaab in Luhe-Wildenau, south of Weiden in der Oberpfalz. It flows generally south, through the towns Nabburg, Schwandorf and Burglengenfeld. It flows into the Danube near Regensburg.

Jahnstadion (Regensburg)

The Jahnstadion is a 11,800 capacity stadium in Regensburg, Germany. It is primarily used for football and is currently the home of SSV Jahn Regensburg. Built in 1926, it also hosted five football matches during the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Regen (river)

The Regen is a river in Bavaria, Germany, and a left tributary of the Danube, at Regensburg, Germany. The source of its main headstream, the Großer Regen ("Big Regen"), is located in the Bohemian Forest on the territory of the Czech Republic, near Železná Ruda. The river crosses the border after a few kilometres, at Bayerisch Eisenstein. The name in German evolved from the name in Latin, whose meaning is unknown.

Scots Monastery, Regensburg

The Scots Monastery is a Benedictine abbey of St James (Jakobskirche) in Regensburg, Germany. It was founded by Hiberno-Scottish missionaries and for most of its history was in the hands of first Irish, then Scottish monks, whence its name (in German Schottenkirche, Schottenkloster or Schottenstift. In Middle Latin, Scotti meant Gaels from Scotland or Ireland, so that the term Schottenstift already dates from the Irish period.

Regensburg-Prüfening station

Regensburg-Prüfening station is one of the three railway stations in the German city of Regensburg used for passenger services; the others being Regensburg Hauptbahnhof and Regensburg-Burgweinting. It is located in the west of the city on Prüfeninger Schloßstrasse. In front of the station the track divides into the line to Nuremberg and the Danube Valley railway to Ingolstadt Hauptbahnhof and Ulm. This crosses the line to Nuremberg shortly after Prüfening station.
