Mercateum

The Mercateum is the world's biggest globe based on a historical map. It is located in the centre of Königsbrunn in the district of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. The globe is intended as a memorial to trade relations between the Bavarian regions of Swabia and Franconia and India. Augsburg-Universitätsviertel

Augsburg-Universitätsviertel, is one the 17 Planungsräume of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. It consists of one Stadtbezirk, out of the 41 that make up the city, the 32nd, with which its planning district is coterminous. The Universitätsviertel houses the main campus of the University of Augsburg, which was founded in 1970. The planning district also houses the old Augsburg Airport as well as the Volkssiedlung, a public housing development.
