Prien am Chiemsee station

Prien am Chiemsee station is the largest station of the Bavarian market town of Prien am Chiemsee. The station was opened in 1860 and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. It has four platform tracks, one of which is a bay platform. It is served by about 85 Deutsche Bahn trains each day. The station is a separation station and is located on the Rosenheim–Salzburg, Chiemgau Railway (Chiemgaubahn) and the Chiemsee Railway (Chiemseebahn).

Rimsting station

Rimsting station is a former railway station in the Upper Bavarian district of Rimsting on the Rosenheim–Salzburg railway in southern Germany. The first halt was installed in 1881 for the Bavarian King Ludwig II, who wanted to visit the construction site for his next palace, Schloss Herrenchiemsee. The present-day station building was erected in 1911. In 1981 the station was closed to passenger services; a siding is still in use for the delivery of liquid gas.

Herrenchiemsee

Herrenchiemsee is a complex of royal buildings on the Herreninsel, an island in the Chiemsee, Bavaria's largest lake, 60 km south east of Munich. Together with the neighbouring island of Frauenchiemsee and the uninhabited Krautinsel it forms the municipality of Chiemsee.

Herreninsel

The island Herreninsel, with an area of 238 hectares, is the biggest of the three main islands of the Chiemsee, a lake in the state of Bavaria, Germany. Together with the islands of Fraueninsel and "Krautinsel" it forms the municipality of Chiemsee. Herrenchiemsee is inhabited by only about 300 people. The island is famous for the palace of Herrenchiemsee built by Ludwig II of Bavaria.
