Navrongo is a town in Ghana, near its northern border. It is the capital of Kassena-Nankana District – which is within the Upper East Region of Ghana. Navrongo is the fifty-sixth most populous in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 27,306 people. Navrongo is an important market town, known for its cathedral and its grotto. Bolgatanga

Bolgatanga, colloquially known as Bolga, is a town and the capital of both the Bolgatanga Municipal District and the Upper East Region of Ghana. Bolgatanga is the twenty-seventh most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 66,685 people. Bolga is the major town between Tamale, 161 km (about 100 miles) to the south, and the border with Burkina Faso.
