Oduponkpehe is the twenty-second most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 75,096 people. The town had a population of 37,413 inhabitants in 2005. It is the second largest town in the Awutu/Effutu/Senya District of the capital to Winneba. The town has grown massively in recent decades. The town had only 863 inhabitants in 1970, then it had increased in 1984 to 2,597.
