Zuarungu

Zuarungu is a town in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Zuarungu was formerly a regional capital, until Bolgatanga, four miles to the west, offered land to build a hospital, and the seat of government was moved there. The people of Zuarungu are mostly Frafra people with a small minority of workers and immigrants from nearby areas and other regions of Ghana. Zuarungu has seen little development.

Bolgatanga

Bolgatanga, colloquially known as Bolga, is a town and the capital of both the Bolgatanga Municipal District and the Upper East Region of Ghana. Bolgatanga is the twenty-seventh most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 66,685 people. Bolga is the major town between Tamale, 161 km (about 100 miles) to the south, and the border with Burkina Faso.
