Wa is a town and is the capital of Wa Municipal District and the Upper West Region of Ghana, and is the main town of the Wala people. Wa is the fourteenth most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 102,446 people. The majority of the inhabitants are Muslim.
