Tano River

The Tano or Tanoé River is a river in Ghana. It flows for 400 kilometres from Techiman to Ehy, Tendo and finally Aby Lagoon where it enters the Atlantic Ocean. The river forms the last few kilometres of the international land boundary between Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. Indigious local beliefs hold that Taakora, the highest of the Akan Gods on earth lives at the source of the river.

Fiema

Fiema is a top most tourist attraction site in the Nkoranza North District, a district in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is popularly known as the Boabeng-Fiema monkey sanctuary. It is a home for about 700 monkeys. The village is a community where, monkeys and human beings live together. The inhabitants in the village always, leave food outside their homes for the animals. The monkeys see human beings as their own.

Techiman is the leading market town in Ghana and is, together with Sunyani, one of the two chief cities of the Brong-Ahafo Region. This city of nearly 80,000 is located at a historical crossroads of trade routes and the Tano River, and serves as capital of the Techiman Municipal District.
