Pra River (Ghana)

The Pra River is a river in Ghana, the easternmost and the largest of the three principal rivers that drain the area south of the Volta divide. Rising in the Kwahu Plateau near Mpraeso and flowing southward for 240 km through rich cocoa and farming areas and valuable forests in the Akan lowlands, the Pra enters the Gulf of Guinea east of Takoradi. In the 19th century, the Pra served as the border between the Ashanti Confederacy and the Gold Coast.

Sekondi-Takoradi Stadium

Sekondi-Takoradi Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana. It used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium of Sekondi Hasaacas FC. It hosted some matches during 2008 African Cup of Nations. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people and opened in 2008. It was purposefully built as a venue for the 2008 African Cup of Nations held in Ghana in January 2008.

Essipong Stadium

Essipong Stadium was built by Shanghai Construction Group Limited and is a multi-sports complex. The 20,000 all-seater stadium completed at a cost of $38.5 million boast of facilities such as hotels and restaurants amongst others. The stadium is home to Sekondi Wise Fighters.
