Not to be confused with the Osmanya alphabet. Somanya is a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana, and the capital of its Yilo Krobo District. Somanya is the sixty-sixth most populous in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 20,264 people.

St. Barbara Catholic Church
Saint Barbara Catholic Church also known as Santa Barbara Catholic Church and Akosombo Catholic Church is a small church situated at one of the highest points in Akosombo, Ghana, overlooking the dam. It was constructed in September 1962 by Impregilo SPA in 21 days. It was built as a place of worship by the staff of Impregilo during the building of the Akosombo Dam. Subsequently a memorial plaque was placed in the church to honor the 28 staff of Impregilo SPA who died building the dam.

Umbrella Rock
The Umbrella Rock, as the name means, is a rock found at the site of the Boti Falls in Yilo Krobo District, Ghana. The arrangement of the rocks are in the form of an umbrella. One rock lies on top of the other, relying on only a small pivot point on the one below. Its size is well okay to shelter up to about 12 to 15 people at once. Even though the pivot on which the top rock lies on might seem small, its very strong and have not been able to pull and/or push down with manpower.
