Marathia, Evrytania

Marathia is a village located in southeastern Evrytania, Greece. It is located near the town of Fragkista. In the 1990s the village became part of the Anatoliki Fragkista. The current population of the village is roughly 100 inhabitants year round. In the summer it grows to almost 500 people. The village is separated into "neighborhoods". The most Northern village is called Amerigani. The central area, also the largest, simply called Meseo or central Marathia.

Tatarna Bridge

The Tatarna Bridge (Γέφυρα Τατάρνας, Gefyra/Gefira Tatarnas) is a modern bridge over the Kremasta artificial lake. The bridge connects the Valtos province of Acarnania with the Evrytania prefecture. In the same place there was a 17th century historical and famous old arch stone bridge (over the river Acheloos). The name Tatarna comes from a nearby monastery.

Papparousi

Papparousi is a small village in Evrytania, Greece. It is part of the municipality of Karpenisi. The name Papparousi came from a priest that lived there and his last name was Roussos. There are two parts of the village: Dytiko Papparousi, and Papparousi. The population of the village is 163 (2001 census).

Lake Plastiras

Lake Plastiras also called Tavropos Reservoir (Greek: Τεχνητή Λίμνη Ταυρωπού) is an artificial lake fed by Tavropos (Megdovas) river, located in Karditsa regional unit, near the city of Karditsa, Greece. The lake is named after the Greek general and politician Nikolaos Plastiras, who was the first to visualize the construction of an artificial lake in the area.
