Patulul

Patulul is a municipality in the Suchitepéquez department of Guatemala. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:14|25|N|91|10|W|region:GT_type:city_source:GNS-enwiki|| |primary |name= }} It is located north of the coastal region of Tiquisate. It is both a coastal region as well as a mountainous region. Its neighboring town, San Juan Bautista (Saint John the Baptist) is known for its fine dairy products. They both have their town festivals during the month of July.

Cotzumalhuapa

Santa Lucía Cotzumalhuapa (or Cotzumalguapa) is the name of a pre-Columbian Maya archaeological zone dating mainly to the Late Classic period in Mesoamerican chronology, although it was occupied since the Middle Preclassic period and there is evidence of a major development during the Late Preclassic period. The famous Stela 1 from El Baúl has one of the earliest inscriptions in Mesoamerica, with the earliest legible hieroglyphic Long Count date in Guatemala: AD 37.
