Selegua River
The Selegua is a river in Guatemala. The river flows northwards from its sources in the highlands of Huehuetenango until it crosses the border with Mexico at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:15.749467|-91.918659|type:landmark_region:GT|||||| | |name=Río Seleguá }}, and continues northwards into the Presa de La Angostura, one of Mexico's largest artificial lakes. The Chixoy River or Río Negro is a river in Guatemala. The river is called Río Negro from its sources in the highlands of Huehuetenango and El Quiché until it reaches the Chixoy hydroelectric dam, where the Río Salamá and Rio Carchela converge with the Río Negro. After the Chixoy dam, the river is called Río Chixoy and flows northwards, marking the departmental limits between Alta Verapaz and El Quiché, until it reaches the border with Mexico.

Huehuetenango
Huehuetenango is a city and a municipality in the highlands of western Guatemala. It is also the capital of the department of Huehuetenango. The municipality's population was over 81,000 people in 2002. The city is located 269 km from Guatemala City, and is the last departmental capital on the Pan-American Highway before reaching the Mexican border at La Mesilla.
