Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre

The Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre is a public grammar school located in the parish of St. Andrew's in Guernsey. The school motto is Qui veult peult. The mixed gender school is for students aged 11–18 and entry requires passing of the Eleven Plus examination. It admits students from across Guernsey, and also some from Alderney and Sark. However, students from other secondary schools in Guernsey who want to pursue A Levels transfer to the school after GCSEs.

Fort Grey

Fort Grey, colloquially known as the "cup and saucer", is a Martello tower located on a rock in Rocquaine Bay in Saint Peter, Guernsey. The French name of the rock upon which the tower was built is the Château de Rocquaine (Castle of Rocquaine); in Guernésiais Châté dé Rocquoïne. It was said to be the site of local witches' Sabbaths.

Guernsey

Guernsey, officially the Bailiwick of Guernsey, is a British Crown dependency in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy. As a bailiwick, Guernsey embraces not only all ten parishes on the Island of Guernsey, but also the islands of Alderney and Sark – each with their own parliament – and the smaller islands of Herm, Jethou and Lihou.

Operation Ambassador

Operation Ambassador was an operation carried out by British Commandos on 14–15 July 1940 within the context of the Second World War. It was the second raid by the newly formed British Commandos and was focused upon the German-occupied Channel island of Guernsey. The raiding party consisted of 40 men from the newly formed No. 3 Commando under the command of Lieutenant Colonel John Durnford-Slater, and 100 men of No.11 Independent Company under Major Ronnie Tod.
