Sriram Sagar Reservoir
Sri Ram Sagar is a reservoir across the River Godavari near Nirmal town in Andhra Pradesh, India. The reservoir is formed by the Pochampad Dam. It was built up to serve the farmers of Telangana Region of Andhra Pradesh. When completed, it could hold 120 Million Cubic Metres of water at its peak. Its back waters extended into the neighboring state of Maharashtra, at least 150 kilometres from the actual site of the dam. The present capacity of the resovoir is 88.7 Million Cubic Metres as of 2008.
