Meerjapeta

Meerjapeta, also rendered as Meer Japeta, is a village in the Tarlupadu mandal of the Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The village is 15 kilometres from Markapur. The Gundlakamma River passes near the village. In early days it had the name of "Bangaru Palle". As of the 2001 census, the village had 1,568 inhabitants.
