Palwal is a city and a municipal council. It is the headquarters of Palwal district, the 21st district of Haryana state in northern India. It is a centre for the cotton trade in the area. Palwal is situated at a distance of 60 km from Delhi on the Delhi-Mathura highway. The latitude of the town is 28° 40' N and longitude is 76° 59' E. The area of town is 22.10 km². The local tradition identifies Palwal with the Apelava town mentioned in the Mahabharata, which was later restored by Vikramaditya.

The Nahar Singh Stadium (previously known as Mayur Stadium) is a cricket stadium in the Indian city of Faridabad. Nahar Singh cricket stadium in Faridabad was built in 1981. The first match, a Ranji trophy game between Haryana and Services was played in 1982 from 22–24 November. Badkhal Lake
Badkhal Lake was a natural lake situated in Faridabad, Haryana, about 16 kilometers from Delhi. It was a natural lake surrounded by hilly areas of the Aravali Range in Haryana. As of May 2009, the lake is almost a completely dried up grassy terrain and the unusually low rainfall in the area has been cited. Certain mines surrounding the lake are also responsible for blockage of flow of water to the lake's reservoir.
