Chamera Dam

The Chamera Dam impounds the River Ravi and supports the hydroelectricity project in the region. It is located near the town of Dalhousie, in the Chamba district in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India The reservoir of the dam is the Chamera Lake. After completion of the first phase, the Chamera dam generates 540 MW of electricity. The second stage of Chamera dam i.e. Chamera-II Dam generates 300 MW of electricity. From year 2012, the 3rd stage of Chamera Dam is also under operation.

Khajjiar Lake

Khajjiar Lake is situated in Khajjiar, in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated at a height of around 1,920 m above sea level between Dalhousie and Chamba Town. The lake is set in a huge grassy landscape, with evergreen cedar trees surrounding it from all sides. The lake takes its name from Khajji Nag, the deity in the temple nearby. The lake has considerably shrunk over the years and is now almost on the verge of vanishing.

Chamba district

Chamba is the northwestern district of Himachal Pradesh, in India, with its headquarters in Chamba town. The towns of Dalhousie and Khajjhiar are popular hill stations and vacation spots for the people from the plains of northern India. Chamba is the only state in northern India to preserve a well-documented history from circa 500 A.D. Its high mountain ranges have given it a sheltered position and helped in preserving its centuries old relics and numerous inscriptions.

Police Stadium (Chamba)

The Police Stadium is a cricket ground in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, India. The first recorded match on the ground came when Himachal Pradesh Under-19s played Haryana Under-19s in 1995. The ground held its first first-class match in December 1995 when Himachal Pradesh played Jammu and Kashmir in the 1995/96 Ranji Trophy. The following season a further first-class match was held when Himachal Predesh played Haryana in the 1996/97 Ranji Trophy.
