Stok Kangri

Stok Kangri (elevation 6,153 m is the highest mountain in the Stok Range of the Himalayas in the Ladakh region of northwest India. The peak is located in Hemis National Park, 12 km southwest of the trailhead at 3,610 m in the village of Stok and 24 km southwest of the Ladakhi capital of Leh. Despite its altitude, Stok Kangri is a popular peak and is often climbed as an initial non-technical foray into high altitude mountaineering.

Kushok Bakula Rimpochhe Airport is an airport in Leh, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It's one of the highest airports in the world at 3,256 m above mean sea level. The airport is named after the Venerable Kushok Bakula Rinpoche, whose 19th Incarnation was an important Indian and Ladakhi Statesman.

Markha River (India)

The Markha River is a river in Ladakh, India. It is a tributary of the Zanskar River. The Markha Valley is the most popular trekking route in Ladakh, accessible from Ganda La pass near Spituk in the west and Gongmaru La pass near Hemis. On top of the valley you can find the Kang Yatze, a 6,400 m (21,000 ft) high mountain. The Markha River also passes to the south of the 6,153 m (20,182 feet) high Stok Kangri mountain. Tache gompa is the most important Buddhist monastery in the Markha valley.
