Jnanadeepa school

Jnanadeepa School is an educational institution in Shivamogga District, Karnataka, India. It is run by the private education foundation Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Education (SAFE) through the Jnanadeepa Vidya Samsthe. The institution follows the CBSE curriculum and was the first private institution in the district to be affiliated to CBSE, Delhi. The school was started in 1999 with 36 students but now enrolls 1,000. The school started with classes 5 and 6 and grew to cover classes 1 to 10.

Kuvempu University

Kuvempu University is a public state university located in Shimoga, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1987 by the act of the Karnataka state legislature through an amendment No.28/1976 dated 29 January 1989 under the Karnataka State University Act 1976. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in wide range of disciplines. It occupies 230 acres of land. The university was recognized by the UGC in 1994 and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
