Skandagiri, also known as Kalavara Durga, is an ancient mountain fortress located approximately 70 km from Bangalore city, and 3 km from Chikballapur in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is off Bellary Road, and overlooks Nandi Hills, Muddenahalli, and Kanivenarayanapura . The peak is at an altitude of about 1350 meters.

Bagepalli Kannada:ಬಾಗೆಪಲ್ಲಿ is a panchayat town in Chikballapur district in the state of Karnataka, India. Bagepalli is situated 100 km north of Bangalore on the Bangalore-Hyderabad National Highway. The region is just below the southern border of the Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh, South India. It is semi-arid and drought prone with 560 mm of erratic and spatial rainfall.

Gauribidanur

Gauribidanur is a historical town in Kolar district; now a part of Chikballapur district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is about 75 km from Bangalore, and 25 km from the Educational Hub of Muddenahalli-Kanivenarayanapura. Along with the native language of Kannada, the other languages of Telugu and Urdu are spoken since the town borders the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh. It has five hobli namely Manchenahalli, Hossur, Thondebhavi, Dorinayakanapalya (D. Palya) and Nagaragere.
