Shahabad, Gulbarga

Shahabad is a town in Gulbarga district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is divided into the following areas: Bazaar, the residential townships of Alstom and Jaypee Cements (formerly ACC or HMP), Bhankur/Shantnagar and Old Shahabad. Agriculture, limestone mines, boiler and cement production are the main areas of commerce. The river Kagina passes through Shahabad and is a major source of water for the town.

Wadi, Karnataka

Wadi (ವಾಡಿ) is a census town in Gulbarga district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The Wadi railway junction is an important railway junction on the Indian railways. Trains from the metro cities of Mumbai, Bangalore,Hyderabad and Chennai pass through this town. Wadi is home to two cement plants of Associated Cement Company Limited (ACC) . The ACC has two cement plants of capacity 2.11 and 2.6 million tonnes per annum. The cement plants are some of the largest in the country.

Gulbarga Airport

Gulbarga Airport is India's first private regional greenfield airport developed under Public-Private-Partnership, in association with the Government of Karnataka (GoK). The project is being developed by Regional Airport Holdings International Ltd. (RAHI), a pioneer in aviation infrastructure and services. The airport is scheduled to be fully operational by mid-2012 and will provide air taxi and non-scheduled air services.
