Jakkur Airfield

Jakkur Airfield is a general purpose airport serving Bangalore, Karnataka in India. It is the only dedicated general aviation field in Bengaluru. The other three airports are either private (HAL - VOBG), military (Yelahanka - VOYK) or dedicated to commercial operations (BIAL - VOBL). It is spread over an area of 214 acres to the north of Bangalore, just after the Hebbal flyover near the village of Jakkur.

Hebbal lake

Hebbal Lake is located in the north of Bangalore at the mouth of National Highway 7, along the junction of Bellary Road and the Outer Ring Road (ORR). It was one of the three lakes created in 1537 by Kempe Gowda. Like most lakes or "tanks" in the Bangalore region it was formed by the damming natural valley systems by the construction of bunds. The spread of the lake in a study in 2000 was found to be 75 ha with plans for extending it to make up 143 ha.

Sanjaynagar

Sanjaynagar is a residential area located in north Bangalore, India. Established in the late seventies, it is now a sprawling locality in Bangalore. Sanjaynagar comprises many colonies, established by the employees associations of N.G.E.F. , H.A.L. , C.I.L. , alike. Till date this remains in the vocabulary of the locals.
