Bekal Fort

'Bekal Fort', is the largest fort in Kerala, situated at Kasaragod district, North Kerala. spreading over 40 acres . Some important features of this fort are the water-tank with its flight of steps, the tunnel opening towards the south, the magazine for keeping ammunition and the broad steps leading to the Observation Tower, which is a rarity. From there one has an ample view of towns in the vicinity like Kanhangad, Pallikkara, Bekal, Kottikkulam, Uduma etc.

Ajanur

Ajanur (also anglicized Ajanoor) is a grama panchayat in Kasargode district, Kerala state, India. Ajanur is just north of Kanhangad, stretching for some 5 km along the Kanyakumari-Panavel Road, encompassing an area of some 28 km. Total population was recorded as 42,467 in the 2001 Indian census, amounting to a population density of 1,526 per km. Ajanur panchayat consists of the following 23 villages or "wards": Ajanur is the birthplace of poet P. Kunhiraman Nair.

Chandragiri Fort

Chandragiri Fort, built in the 17th century, is in Kasargod District of Kerala, south India. This large squarish fort is 150 feet above sea level and occupies an area of about seven acres by the side of the river Payaswini. The fort is now in ruins. The fort has an eventful history. In earlier days, the river was considered to be the border of two powerful kingdoms - Kolathunadu and Thulunadu.
