Neyyattinkara

Neyyattinkara is a prominent town in Thiruvananthapuram district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is a suburb of the extended metropolitan region of Thiruvananthapuram city. The name 'Neyyattinkara' in Malayalam literally means the shore (kara) of Neyyar River. Neyyar River flows from Agasthyarkoodam, the highest peak (1868m above MSL) in southern end of the Western Ghats. The municipality of Neyyattinkara is the major town on the banks of Neyyar River.

Neyyattinkara railway station

Neyyattinkara railway station is the main railway station in the town of Neyyattinkara in the Indian state of Kerala, managed by the Thiruvananthapuram Division of the Southern Railways. The station is on the Thiruvananthapuram-Kanyakumari railway line. Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is 18 km from here. The Neyyattinkara KSRTC Bus Station is 1.7 km away from the station. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport.

Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy of Marthandom

The Eparchy of Marthandom (also called Marthandam) is a Syro-Malankara Catholic diocese in Tamil Nadu. It was created by Pope John Paul II on 16 December 1996. It was the fourth diocese of the Syro-Malankara church. It consists of three civil districts: Kaliakkavilai, Marthandam, Nagercoil.

Kulitthurai railway station

Kulitthurai (Martandam) Railway Station is the second biggest station in Kanyakumari District. For Train transportation the Kulitthurai is the main hub for Kalkulam and Vilavancode taluka’s. The Kalkulam and Vilavancode taluka’s have the population around seven lakes. The Kulitthurai station is found to be centered between Trivandrum — Kanyakumari railway route. This railway station collection is more than seven crore per annum and a daily passenger patronage of more than 5000 people.

Nizhal Thangal, Nelli-ninra Vilai

The Nizhal thangal of Nelli-ninra Vilai is one among the few important Worship centers of Ayyavazhi in the western Kanyakumari. It is also the first Thangal built in the Thamarai Thangal series. It was situated mid-way in the Attoor Arumanai road, 4 km North-east of Marthandam, and 26 km North-west of Nagercoil. Though this Thangal was originally built in 1882, the new structure with Lotus architecture was recently constructed.
