Katni Junction railway station
Katni Junction is a major rail junction in Katni, India. Rail links from the junction travel in 5 different directions to New Delhi, Mumbai, Vadodara, Howrah, Chennai, Bangalore and other Indian cities. Approximately 215 trains pass the junction every day. To reduce the junction's load the new Katni Murwara Junction has been opened to carry trains from Bina towards East India.

Katni River
Katni River is a river that flows through the Katni District in the state of Madhya Pradesh, located in the northeastern part of India. The river was named after Katewa, a gotra of Jats now found in the state of Rajasthan. Katewa built a fort on the river's banks for the Janapada of Katewa during their rule of the area.
