Bharatpura village in the Paliganj sub-division is a sleepy hamlet, about 45 km away from Patna. It houses G N Public Library that possesses more than 5,000 rare manuscripts in Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian. Bharatpura is named after its ruler Raja Bharat Singh who was the founder of Bharatpura Gadh. His descendants, came to be known as the Dhari Family. Some of them also migrated to nearby places like Dharhara.
