Kasara railway station

Kasara is a railway station on the Central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. It is the final stop in the north-east sector of the Central Line. For outstation trains, it is a technical halt, where bankers are attached behind the trains to enable it to cross the tough and high gradient thull ghats. Earlier CR OHE was under 1500 DC KV traction. But since May 2007, it has been converted to 25000 AC KV. The station is also famous for its local fruits which are sold by the local vendors.

Kasara ghat

Kasara ghat (also called as Thal Ghat) is a ghat (mountain pass) in the Western Ghats near the town of Kasara in Maharashtra. The Kasara Ghat is located on the busy Mumbai–-Nashik route, and is one of the four major routes rail and road routes leading into the Mumbai.
