108 Vinayaka Temple

Sri Selva Vinayakar Temple is located in Palani, Coimbatore has 108 Vinayakar idols installed in five various steps in octagonal fashion. The temple is located in Thomas Park Housing Unit, immediately after the colony entrance Gopuram. The temple was first constructed in 1980's and the first Kumbabhishekam was held in 1987. The temple was mainly run by Sri Venkatesalu Naidu of Subbaih Foundary. It was his vision to install 108 Vinayakar idols in the temple – second only temple in the world.
