Aluthakanniar River

Aluthakanniar is a river flowing in the Tirunelveli district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the tributaries of Chittar River, which joins Tamiraparani near Tirunelveli. It arises in the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats, and forms the Old Kutralam falls as it descends down the mountain. It flows 10km towards north east before joining its main river Chittar near Kadapagothi village.

Tenkasi

Tenkasi is one of the largest municipalities in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located in the foothills of the Western Ghats near the Courtallam Waterfalls. Tenkasi is famous for its saaral (சாரல் drizzling). Every year from May–August, people and tourists enjoy the saaral in Tenkasi. The main tourist attraction of Tenkasi is Courtallam, with exotic waterfalls and healing spas.
