Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital is a modern multi-speciality hospital in Ambattur near Chennai, India. The hospital is named after Sir Ivan Stedeford, the British industrialist and philanthropist. Avadi

Avadi ("ஆவடி") is a suburb of chennai and a municipality in Thiruvallur district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Avadi is an acronym for "Armoured Vehicles and Ammunition Depot of India". Situated about 23 km north west of Chennai, it is surrounded by major defence establishments. The neighbourhood is served by Avadi railway station of the Chennai Suburban Railway.

Ambattur Lake

Ambattur Lake is a rain-fed reservoir which reaches top levels during the monsoon seasons. In November 2008, incessant monsoon rain filled the lake and encroachments on the north and south banks of the lake were demolished. It also caters to the drinking water needs of the Chennai city after Poondi and Chembarambakkam Lake.
