Natuna Islands

The Natuna Islands archipelago (272 islands) is located in the South China Sea in the larger Tudjuh Archipelago, off the northwest coast of Borneo. The islands administratively a regency within the Riau Islands province of Indonesia and are the northernmost non-disputed island group of Indonesia. The Natuna islands are divided into three groups: North Natuna, which includes Laut Island (Pulau Laut); Middle Natuna, which includes Natuna Besar; and South Natuna, which includes Subi Besar.

Natuna Besar

Great Natuna (Natuna Besar in Indonesian) or just Natuna is the main island of the Middle Natuna Archipelago, which is part of the Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. It is also called Bunguran Island. The area of Great Natuna is 1720 km². The island is home to three species of non-human primates: the slow loris, the long-tailed macaque, and the Natuna leaf monkey (a.k.a.
