Minangkabau International Airport
Minangkabau International Airport is the principal airport serving the province of West Sumatra on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is located about 23 km north-west of Padang, in Ketaping, Padang Pariaman regency. The airport became operational in July 2005, replacing the old Tabing Airport in Padang. The airport is named after the Minangkabau ethnic group who inhabit the region. There is one terminal building for both international flights and domestic flights.

Andalas University
Andalas University (Indonesian: Universitas Andalas, abbreviated Unand) is the oldest university in Indonesia outside of Java. It consists of 11 faculties, most of them located at the main campus building, Limau Manis, 12 km from the centre of Padang, West Sumatra. This campus occupies 5 km², at an elevation of about 100 m.
