Agam Regency

Agam is a regency of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 2,232.30 km² and a population of approximately 419,800 people. The capital is Lubuk Basung. Bukittinggi city is surrounded by this regency. Lake Maninjau, a crater lake, is a well-known landmark of the regency, and is used as a site for paragliding. This lake is also primary tourist destination in West Sumatra.

Sarik-Gajah

Sarik-Gajah are two pyroclastic cones right at the equator line on Sumatra island, Indonesia. The first cone is Sarik, an andesitic/basaltic vegetated cone. The other is andesic-dacitic Gajah cone, 10 km southwest of the first one and it contains lava flow. No eruptive history ever recorded from this volcanic complex.
