Sinjar
Sinjar is a town in northwestern Iraq's Ninawa Governorate on Mount Sinjar near the Syrian border. Its population at the time of the 2006 census was 40,000. The town is mainly inhabited by Yezidis with Kurdish, Arab and Assyrian minorities.
