Bargy Castle

Bargy Castle is a Norman fortress near the village of Tomhaggard in the Barony of Bargy, County Wexford, Ireland, some 12 km south-west of Wexford town. The name Bargy derives from Ui Bhairrche, the name of a local tribe. The building is a square keep to which two wings have been added at right angles during the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries. The keep itself is in good condition, having been renovated several times.

Rosslare Strand

Rosslare Strand, or simply Rosslare (Irish: Ros Láir, meaning "the middle peninsula"), is a village and Seaside resort in County Wexford, Ireland. The name Rosslare Strand http://www. rosslareholidayresort. ie is used to distinguish it from the nearby community of Rosslare Harbour, site of the Rosslare Europort. Rosslare has been a tourist resort for at least 100 years.

Lady's Island Lake

Lady's Island Lake is a brackish lake in the south of County Wexford, Ireland. The lake is technically a back-barrier seepage lagoon, one of only two in Ireland. The other is nearby Tacumshin Lake . The lake has no outlet, but is separated from the Atlantic Ocean at the southern end by a sand and gravel bar 200 m wide. Salt water seeps through the barrier, while fresh water flows into the lake from run-off from the land around the lake.

River Slaney

The Slaney (Irish: Abhainn na Sláine, meaning "river of health") is a river in the southeast of Ireland. It rises on Lugnaquilla Mountain in the western Wicklow Mountains and flows west and then south through counties Wicklow, Carlow and Wexford, before entering St George's Channel in the Irish Sea at Wexford town. The estuary of the Slaney is wide and shallow and is known as Wexford Harbour.
