Kildare railway station

Kildare railway station is a railway station on the Dublin to Cork Railway line and Dublin commuter service. It is also the changing-point for passengers to/from services to Waterford. Passengers can also connect at station to a shuttle bus services to Kildare Village shopping outlet and Curragh Racecourse on days of racing. It has three tracks, one for through services and two platforms.

Round Towers GAA (Kildare)

Round Towers is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Kildare in County Kildare, Ireland winner of 10 Kildare county senior football championships in all, six as Round Towers, three as Kildare and one as St Patrick's. Glenn Ryan featured on the Kildare football team of the millennium and was an All Stars Award winner in 1997 and 1998. Brian Lacey was an All Stars Award winner in 1998, and former Wexford hurler and 1989 All Star Eamon Cleary played for the team in the 1990s.

Kildare Abbey

Kildare Abbey is a former monastery in County Kildare, Ireland, founded by St Brigid in the 5th century, and destroyed in the 12th century. Originally known as Druim Criaidh, or the Ridge of Clay, Kildare came to be known as Cill-Dara, or the Church of the Oak, from the stately oak-tree loved by St. Brigid.
