Ellistown GAA

Ellistown is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in County Kildare, Ireland, winner of four county senior football championships, including two under their former name of Mountrice Blunts. They also played as Knavinstown for a period and combined with Ballykelly to form an area team, St. Brigids. Jack Donnelly was a member of the Kildare football team of the millennium. Noel Fox is the Chairman of Ellistown 2009.

Irish Parachute Club

The Irish Parachute Club (IPC) is located in Clonbullogue, County Offaly, in Ireland. It was founded in 1956 by wartime paratrooper Freddie Bond and began operations at Weston airfield in Leixlip, training several teams for international competition. During the harsh winter of 1962, the IPC parachuted emergency supplies to snowbound farms in the Wicklow Mountains. The club later operated from a number of locations before establishing a drop zone in 1974 at Tokn Grass, west of Edenderry.

Clonbullogue Airfield

Clonbullogue Airfield is a small Irish airport located about 2 kilometres west of Clonbollogue and 6 NM south of Edenderry in County Offaly, Ireland. It is owned and operated by the Irish Parachute Club which is based at the field. The airfield has one grass runway running east-west which is 770 by 18 m (by ft). Six aircraft are based at the field, most of them owned by the Irish Parachute Club.

Bog of Allen

The Bog of Allen (Móin Alúine in Irish) is a large raised bog in the centre of Ireland between the rivers Liffey and Shannon. The bog's 958 square kilometers (370 square miles) stretch into County Offaly, County Meath, County Kildare, County Laois, and County Westmeath. Peat is mechanically harvested on a large scale by Bórd na Móna, the government-owned peat production industry.
