The Piomba is an Italian river in Abruzzo. The source of the river is near Cermignano in the province of Teramo. The river flows southeast past Cellino Attanasio before entering the province of Pescara. The river flows close to the border with Teramo before it enters the Adriatic Sea north of the mouth of the Saline and south of Silvi.

The Saline is an Italian river whose source is east of Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia in the province of Teramo in Abruzzo. The river's source is north of Monte Camicia in the Gran Sasso d'Italia Mountains. The river flows northeast and curves eastward near Bisenti. It then curves southeastward and crosses into the province of Pescara. After passing Elice, the river once again curves northeastward and enters the Adriatic Sea near Montesilvano and the Piomba river.

Pescara Circuit
The Pescara Circuit was a 16.032 miles road race course near Pescara, Italy. The track boasted two long straights between villages, as well as demanding corners in the seaside town. The roads were both narrow and bumpy, and the staggering 16-mile length was the longest of any open-wheel championship event. Like many long circuits (such as the original Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps circuits) Pescara was extremely dangerous.
