Sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo

The Sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo sul Gargano, sometimes called simply Monte Gargano, is a Catholic sanctuary on Mount Gargano, Italy, part of the commune of Monte Sant'Angelo, in the province of Foggia, northern Apulia. It is the oldest shrine in Western Europe dedicated to the archangel Michael and has been an important pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages. The historic site and its environs are protected by the Parco Nazionale del Gargano.

Gulf of Manfredonia

The Gulf of Manfredonia is a gulf on the east coast of Italy. It is part of the Adriatic Sea. The Monte Gargano peninsula forms the northern border of the gulf and the Apulian coast forms the southern border. Several rivers flow into the gulf, including the Carapelle and the Cervaro. The gulf is named after the town Manfredonia. Areas along the coast are marshes such as the Saline di Margherita di Savoia and the area south of Manfredonia.

Manfredonia Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Manfredonia, Cattedrale di San Lorenzo Maiorano) is the Roman Catholic cathedral of Manfredonia in Italy, dedicated to Saint Laurence of Siponto (Italian: Lorenzo Maiorano, "Laurence Majoranus"), one of the patron saints of the city. Gargano National Park
